Last week I let Noah cry it out one night and, wow, so glad I did it! He's finally learned how to go to sleep on his own ( we miss rocking him to sleep, but this is a must-learn trait!) Well last night, we decided to let him cry a bit when he gets up at midnight and he went back to sleep until 5am! That's 10 hours without a feeding! He's so awesome and such a great learner! Let's hope for an uninterrupted sleep tonight! We can always hope, right?
Noah's also started an early bedtime of about 7:30pm so Bob & I are enjoying being able to see eachother and talk for a while! We've missed eachother!
Love you all and hope you are doing well!

Nothin' New
Not much is new around here...well, I'll take that back, we've finally found the "click" in Noah's routine. We tried a new formula with rice starch in it and the first night he only woke up once! And he is now eating 8 oz. at every feeding, the little oinker! No wonder he wasn't all that happy with breastfeeding anymore! He' s been napping a lot today, a 3 hour morning nap and now we're going on a 2 hour afternoon nap! It's crazy! Maybe its just a growth spurt.
Bob & I are doing great, we had a night out baby free to say hello to each other and catch up on our lives! It was great and the grandparents love to help us out. ;)

Oh no not the "s" word!
Yep, that's right, shots! Noah had is 4 month checkup this morning along with 4 shots and an oral vaccine. =( He did so well and was so brave, a lot braver than mommy and daddy! He cried for a few seconds and was fine when they were done. He then zonked out on the way home. Everything is going great. He weighs 15 lbs, 12.5 oz. and is 25 inches long. He was the 70th percentile for weight and head size and the 50th for length. So he's our little chunker! And this week Bob & I will decide his next food to introduce other than cereal, his real first taste of some real food! What will it be??? Wait and see!
A thought....
In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?

Yay for cereal!
Noah had his first bite of rice cereal last night and it went so great! He was like a pro after the first bite. We figured he would be the way he's always eaten since he was born. We didn't take any pictures, sorry! He was really hungry so we had to work fast! But we did tape it, so I'll try and figure how to get it up here soon!
A thought...
Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard??

Rice what?
Yep, we're gearing up for Noah's first rice cereal experience tonight! He's very excited and we'll post pics as soon as we can.
Bob is in a deep, dark depression from the Canes' close encounter with the playoffs. However, I think Teresa & Noah will enjoy seeing him again =)
Not much more has happened, Noah is eating more and we're waiting for the sleeping more part!
Again, hope everyone is doing well!

Hey there!
Well I saw all our friends with blogs and said well, let's give it a try! What would I do if our friends asked us to jump over a bridge too? Well, as a good friend once said, "I'd jump over to save them!"
We had our first son, Noah, on December 13, 2007 with no complications! It was a 26 hour labor, but about 10 hours of that was very nicely medicated. I thought about going natural, but sooo glad I didn't, the epidural was so nice!
We are now in our fourth month and we experienced that 3 month miracle turnaround that everyone said would happen. Noah is so happy now! We had a lot of gas and reflux related issues with him but have worked them out and are moving on to bigger things like getting enough food (he's a hefty eater) and sitting up. He has been a blessing to watch and we feel so fortunate each and every day to have him. We're having so much fun with him, we can't even imagine having another one, but I'm sure we will someday.
Bob & I are doing well. Bob is praying for the Canes to make a comeback and make it to the playoffs. I'm just hoping for more than 4/5 hours of sleep at a time. =)
We hope you all are well, we wouldn't be anywhere without our friends and family. You are all so very important to us and truly make our lives more blessed each day!
