Ghost town...

Noah is loving hiding recently, it was peek-a-boo, and now has turned into just going under a blanket and standing there waiting for his "Where's Noah?". If you go under a blanket, he is right there rushing to get right under there with you, in our little fort! He's so funny, you'll look away and all the sudden he's standing there next to you with a blanket or anything over his head!

With some of the warm weather we've had we've enjoyed a few times at the park and even a picnic! Noah LOVES being outside and cries when we go in. He really likes the swing, but not too long!

We've noticed Noah's back molars are starting to come through, it's all swollen back there =( So far, it hasn't been noticeable that they are bothering him, but we're waiting till they get closer to breaking through. His teeth count is now a big 8! 4 up top, 4 down below!

Go Canes!

We hope everyone is doing well during these extremely difficult times and we hope you find the blessings we have found in just having our loved ones around us and knowing that is enough for us to be happy, because that is most important for us all to remember now.

Life happens!

I know, I know, it's been a long while since my last update! Noah has been sooo busy! He had is 1st Birthday and had a good time, even though he wouldn't eat his cupcake! He also took his first lonesome steps right before Christmas, just a step or two, nothing very far. But then about 2 1/2 weeks ago, you got it, he's a walking fool! He's even started running a little bit. He reminds me of a cowboy when he walks, wobble, wobble!

Christmas was really fun. We went up to Pennsylvania and spent the holidays at Bob's sister's (Danielle) house and then we got to see our newest niece, Haley, while visiting with Bob's other sister, Betsy! She was so super tiny and so adorable. She truly doesn't know how small she is!

Noah had his first cold and first stomach virus during and after Christmas, so suffice it to say, it was a little rough, but we all got through it and it was a Christmas to remember and smile at!

After the holidays, I found out that my job was going to be cut in half to part time, so we scrambled like crazy to find another job for me and figure something out, and quickly! Well, God is with us always, and I always know he has his reasons for everything. I waited patiently and by golly, someone called with a prospect for me and it worked out perfectly, not ideal, but in this day and age, very fortunate. I now have 2 part time jobs, one in the morning (my original real estate job) and one in the afternoon. Both are fortunately pretty flexible so taking care of Noah is a little more complicated, but is definitely getting manageable as I adjust to this new, busier life!

I found God's reason behind these struggles and its to appreciate the time I have with my family and it has made our marriage a lot stronger with us working as a team to get through the next couple of months as our country struggles alongside us.

In conclusion, I hope that you and your loved ones are not feeling the pain of the economy as badly as a lot of people are and if you are, remember God is with you always to support and help you through. That is getting me through as well as the love and support of my family and friends!

We love you all!

It's been a while....

Sorry, I was just thinking today that it had been a while and by golly, it's been almost a month since my last post!  Where has the time gone!  I've also been working on Noah's 1st Birthday invitation!  Ahhh!  Truly can't believe it's already been a year since our little man came into our lives.
This time last year we were getting so excited for Noah's arrival...  Noah is getting more and more comfortable cruising around the furniture and when we let go of him he'll stand for a little bit.  I just saw him today, for the first time, stand with his hands on the chair playing with a toy and then he let go with both hands to play with the toy, and he stood there, on his own, for what seemed like forever!!! Our little man is learning so much and growing up way too fast!
We are also getting excited to see my grandma for Thanksgiving in Bayse, VA and then Noah's birthday and then up to PA for Christmas with Bob's family!  And then, of course, up to PA again to see our soon-to-be neice, Haley!  Whoa, what a lot to do for the next few months!  We wish you all, all the blessings in the world!

It takes a village....

I have really learned what a blessing a village can be when raising a child. We are truly blessed with the greatest village of all, our family and friends. They have helped us through the tougher, sleepless, times and have helped us celebrate the joyus times! This is a big "Thank You!" to all of them for their time, comfort and support, we couldn't have done all this without you and look forward to many more joyous times and fewer sleepless ones! =)

Noah also had his first outing to the NC State Fair! He loved it so much, seeing all the animals, lights, sounds, and of course his first ride on the carousel! I don't know who was more excited, mommy or Noah. The carousel is mommy's most favorite ride! He didn't take his normal morning nap, but he just couldn't close his eyes for fear of missing a single moment! We went early so it was pretty chilly, but we bundled Noah as only first time parents do, more thoroughly than probably necessary! We sat him on a haystack to get some photos and realized he had never felt hay before, so he stayed focused on that hay despite our many, many efforts to get him to look at the camera! Noah finally crashed while we were walking back to the car, a very happy boy who thoroughly enjoyed his first trip to the fair.

We hope you are all doing well and have a life full of blessings!

Looking back...

I still can't believe it was almost 10 months ago that Noah came into our lives! Now he is already eating "real" food like chicken, carrots, wheat bread and of course his all time favorite, Cheerios! Bob & I are getting ready for our very first outing without Noah, and we mean a whole weekend out of town without him! It's going to be hard, we will definitely miss him, but it is also a needed weekend to ourselves. It should be fun, it's for a wedding on the shore of New Jersey.

Noah's also found a new fascination with balloons! He got one at the store the other day from a nice man and then we had to get him another one today from the dollar store. He loves looking at it wiggle around and he loves hitting it! Well, he loves hitting anything, he's such a boy!

Anyways, thanks for stopping by and I'll try and be better about posting something more often!

Our love to you all....
